Hindmarsh Island Cemetery

Hindmarsh Island is located on the Fleurieu Peninsula and was named after South Australia's first Governor, Sir John Hindmarsh. In 1861 its cemetery was surveyed for 600 grave sites. Today only few of them remain. Maybe 20? Most of them abandoned, most of them for babies, young people. Few elderly.

We had to smile at that one :-)
