Lady Caca, sashay, away

Poo-hat (or more elegantly Chapeau-Caca) was part of the costume that was planned for Drag Night, but the schedule was so tight we didn't have time to squeeze it in and Drag Night didn't happen.
Until next time, sashay, away. And don't, fuck it up.

Mail day

Mail day is Monday, Wednesday, Friday, always much anticipated and the mailbox is always filled with goodies from all over the world.

A poster from Carl Chew. Interesting this choir entirely composed of Carl Chew kitchen staff :-))

And then I can't remember who sent what…

Except for those stamps by Lazy Bunny because I got two rows as a present and I like them very much.
Pfiuu this is exhausting, need another beer...

Heal me, John Waters

The day I landed in Adelaide movie director John Waters was in town to promote his new book at the Adelaide Writers' Week. When we reached campus after breakie we had just missed his talk, but we found out that he was having a book signing just 50 meters away. And there he was indeed.

You can't see it from those pictures but the queue was quite long and people were waiting for I would say half an hour before having the honour or having their copy of the book signed by Mr. Waters. This was of course too long for the Viz and her crotches crouches crutches (It all sounds the same in french).  But she's a big fan. How to do, how to do?

OK, I'm just going to blend into the background, I'm just passing, never mind me.

I'm still curious to see what he's up to, though. And what's that he's drinking? Beer? Man, I need a vodka right now.

Oh dear, where is everyone? What if he turned his head back? Uh-ho I can see the security people coming.

Oh what the heck, I'm barging in, can't wait any longer.

- John Waters, would you sign my crutch?
- Sure.

- Heal me (puts her hand on his shoulder)
- Yeah, Yeah (moves both hands forward towards her in a healing gesture)

(this conversation really happened, btw, too bad I cannot prove it with my pictures)

Happy!! Now let's go get this vodka!

P / Pee

I really like those two calendars on the walls of the farm's kitchen. Both of them only had P / Pee as an event in March. It makes Pee look very important and she sure likes this :-)) I love the natural poem behind the second calendar too. As Eeedie says, "we do have other friends too!". That made me laugh so much. Yes, I have seen some of them and they were as sweat as you are!

Meanwhile, at the farm

… everything was ready for an imminent squeezing session. With brand new juicer, mind you :-))

Welcome back breakfast

I was greeted with this special Latvian breakfast at Viz and Eeedie's mum right after landing in Adelaide airport where the three of them picked me up and we all went eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! (of course we did).

It was really nice to see them again and to sit around that same table exactly one year after I first met them. Breakfast too was still delicious, as I remembered it was.

Latvian bread, local cheeses (looooaaads!), veggies from the garden, ham, coffee, and special Latvian pīrāgi
Yummie!
