San Diego wrap up

I'm a bit bored with my San Diego pictures, so this is just a mishmash post. I mean, San Diego is a fine city alright, probably a great city to live in if you like the sea. The city centre is very neat and clean and straight, surprisingly absolutely trash free. But walking towards East Village, there is like an invisible border and by the time you cross 16th Street you know you are in a different world. And you start walking faster, and you stop taking pictures.

V.I.Peee at Seaworld

What is not to like about the arctic encounter? You get to live in an explorer's hut, meet all these huge white animals, and then in the end of the evening you receive fancy chocolate brains. If you are attending the SfN presidential reception, that is. Well, I can poke fun at all this but we actually had a very good time there.

It's more comfy than I thought it would be inside an an ice hole. One gets used to all kinds of things.

What's with the sad face, Peeee? It's just a polar bear. And he's fine!

I grew very fond of them. Walking around the city it's hard to get that tune out of your head, you know the one that goes

All the leaves are brown and the sky is grey 

I've been for a walk on a winters day

I'd be safe and warm if I was in LA

Don't forget the holiday pies

At Whole Foods Market, San Diego. I really liked their salad buffet, by the way. So much variety, not too pricey, makes for a great lunch. The holiday ads were a bit sad though. I don't know what it is, something sad about it I cannot pinpoint. The solitary chair?

Mexican Fiesta Mexican Food

A small intermission in the Show and Tell. I quite liked that mexican hut in the middle of the skyscrapers, a few steps from my hotel in San Diego. I have seen it open only at breakfast time, never in the evening, but always with a considerable crowd queueing in front of the tiny window. Probably one of the few places where to get authentic Mexican food. If they like you, that is :-))
