Cut Here

I bought many books at the Tokyo Art Book Fair and this is one of my favourites. Tomomi Wako (Ragan Books) collected packages and flyers with the familiar "cut here" sign and arranged then into an accordion book which opens into a full circle, the (actually perforated) cutting line being central to each page. A great piece of Japanese pop culture!

  5. I didn't hear the bells today!! :-((
Dean, that boekie was the fruit of some serious fluxus performance involving "on-site"chopping up of very precious Victoria's Secret underwear (I was only the photographer, by the way).

  6. OK, Marie -- did you make that booklet or buy it? I really want it. A lot. And hello to Viz. How much washi did she leave under your couch?

  7. Pamela, I'm so in the red! I bought WAY more books than I sold. I wish I was the one who made this book, but... :-((
I haven't heard from Vizma for a few days, maybe she got swept away by the typhoon? :-o In any case she didn't leave one SINGLE roll of washi tape under the couch. Or any pen for that matter. How rude!
