Since I didn't take many pictures in Chicago I bought this wonderful book at the Art Institute Museum Shop as a souvenir. I've always had a thing for neon lights, and this book serendipitously found its way into my collection. Here are a few examples of the gems you might come across in the streets of Chicago.
And my personal favourite...
Those are great. I love neon signs too and I had no idea Chicago had so many of them. Love the coffeepot. Maybe that's because I love good coffee. I have GOT to visit my pal who lives near Chicago....
ReplyDeleteI like the coffee pot too. Maybe it's brewing cappuccino :-)) Oh you should definitely visit, Pamela. It's a good city. You will like it. Just stay (very) far away from Italian Beef. Seriously! :-))
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous! I miss neon. We have one incongruent flashing bit of neon in Suffolk, it's a pair of scissors at a hair cutting joint.
ReplyDeleteHi Rebecca! So nice to see you here, thank you for leaving a comment! The Scissors of Suffolk. Interesting! Only one then? Japan has quite a bit of neons. Oh by the way, I wanted to tell you I got your envelope! Thank you so much! I will write soon... Xxx
