Marie's Suitcase Blog Post #200 Special - Trash Sunday Cyanotyped!

In honour of the 200th blog post here at Marie's Suitcase, I am very excited to show you the first set of Trash Sunday pictures (remember those?) cyanotyped in A4 prints. I am very pleased with the result and there will be more cyanotypes in this series. Trash Sunday too will soon resume activity, now that the nice days are back and it's pleasant to walk around in the trashy streets of Wakoshi. Stay tuned!

I am soon off to France for a couple of weeks, leaving you with The Friday Comic which will be on scheduled posting. I want to thank everyone who is visiting the Suitcase, and everyone who is so kind to leave a comment from time to time. I really appreciate all of this. Be genki and talk to you soon!

Bookmark or turd or cellphone run over by a troglodyte

I wonder who isn't ecstatic when they get mail from David Stafford. I know I am. And I was, twice this week.

David always sends absolute goodies. Now this piece entitled 'Dances with Rattler' got me slightly puzzled. When I googled 'rattler dances' my search got me this:

Are those the Arizona equivalent of the Japanese AKB488?

Pay off enclosed :-))

I know David has the same relationship to cell phones as I do. Cell phones are banned from the Suitcase. Diary of an Art Slut (yes you can look forward to that!) made me laugh out loud. And the "bookmark" inserted in it as well. I think that is a reference to Carina's bookmarks when I wrote I will use them as bookmarks but they were already bookmarks anyway :-))

Well, I am certainly going to use this bookmark with ease, as a bookmark mind you. I have to say this drawing above is one of my favourites I received from David. What a genius he is.

Oh, and I L-O-V-E the wrapping paper. I need to think about what to do with it, it is shouting use me.
David, thank you for all these surprises in my mailbox, it made me very happy!

With Jamie's boat on the Coorong (2)

Time to fish and bring back something to put on the barbie for dinner!

Hooked! Eeeedie and I caught about ten of those cuties. Unfortunately all of them were too small to keep, so no fish grill that evening. C'est pas grave.

For the last stretch back home a little bit of speed for the fun. Yiheeeee….

With Jamie's boat on the Coorong (1)

On a beautiful, warm and sunny day, Jamie took the three chicks out for a ride on the Coorong.

Seals! Saluting us as we passed the lock.

Oh yes, and of course we got stuck. Fortunately people were very kind and helpful wherever we went. And so were we :-))

Preparing for the Big Fish Off. To be continued….

One fine morning as I woke up...

Strange phenomenon, limbs seem to bud while no one is watching. I wonder if this has been observed anywhere else under that climate.

Roast and cracklings

You know it by now. The magic trick of the wood oven. Everything comes out of it irrésistiblement délicieux.

The sunset area

The sunset area is my favourite place in the entire farm property. When the sun gets low one can just sit there, alone with nature (and a glass of champagne, and Pinka), and watch the sky change minute by minute. This must have been the most splendid sunset I have ever witnessed (the colours of the pictures have not been modified in any way). Girls, you are so lucky to have such a place, and you made it so special.
