Enoshima (2)

Seriously, what's with all the shells in Enoshima?

  1. I always find empty shells sad - like the creatures have had their homes taken from them.

  2. Yes, empty shells are very sad. In some countries it means someone fired a gun, and someone had their home taken from them. From life in another world.

  3. I don't necessarily find them sad. They just live longer than their inhabitants, each of them is unique in colour, shape, pattern, a mini work of art if you look at them from that side. It's just... who is ever going to buy a plate of empty shells for 800 yen?
